Would I return: Definitely!

So your probably wanting to know why our stay was so perfect, One of the main reasons I would recommend this hotel to families is it is in a superb location! See below my table of some fabulous nearby attractions to visit!

As all four of us were staying over for the night our family room consisted of a king size bed, a single pull out bed, & a cot. The size of the room was great as we could even fit our suitcase and Pram and still have plenty of room inside. What we instantly loved about the room was how homely & modern it felt.

The hotel made some extremely thoughtful touches for the children, sometimes it’s the small things that make a big difference to your stay and they certainly made our stay into a memorable one! In the wardrobe we had dressing gowns & slippers waiting for us, they had even left 2 smaller dressing gowns for the children! They had left a drink, snack & chocolate bar for them both in the fridge along with fresh water and milk for us & A little form where could order complimentary cookies & milk for the children for room service before bedtime! As you can imagine I had 2 very happy children! The television even had a children’s cartoon channel!

As Daddy had been busy working and we had been to Tropical World/Roundhay Park before we arrived, we decided to eat in the hotel and I am so pleased we did the food was exceptional! So much so we would return just to eat for an evening meal! There are fast food restaurants and other places to eat nearby but it’s the hassle of booking, getting coats and shoes on, bag packed, kids in the car etc and that’s without the time it takes to get there, order, eat up and return back to your room! There was a great selection on the menu and they did also have a children’s menu. The staff were very attentive.

From Left to Right, Homemade Soup, Yorkshire Chorizo, Sirloin Steak & King Prawn Linguine
We indulged and had 3 courses I couldn’t resist the Sticky Toffee Pudding, At £6.95 admittedly it was rather expensive but it was the best Sticky Toffee EVER! It was that good I even forgot to take a picture to share with you all!
It was only a 2 minute walk back to our room after our meal, another small touch which made a big difference was the coffee machine & pods nice to see these in every room! and After a bedtime story we all got tucked up in bed, once again we were impressed as there was a selection of different pillows to choose from in the room to ensure a good nights sleep!

We all had a wonderful sleep and my little boy even managed to sleep through in the cot! Might have to stay here more often was my first thought in the morning! We couldn’t believe it!

Breakfast time! More Food! Yet again the breakfast didn’t disappoint! A selection of fruit juices, cereals, patisseries, fruits and yoghurts and of course your full English breakfast! Just what you need to give you energy to visit another attraction!

Since having my children 3 years ago I rarely get any me time, on occasions if I’m lucky I might manage 10 minutes in the bath by myself when my husband has a day off! As the hotel has a Spa I thought I would treat myself to a full body massage. The Spa was a 2 minute walk from our room I went in my dressing gown & slippers and had to fill out a consultation form In a small relaxation room. My therapist Emily came to collect me and gave me a selection of oils to choose from which I chose the most relaxing. The massage was 1 hour it was fantastic and I didn’t realise how much I needed this! I felt like a new woman! (Especially when your child doesn’t sleep in his cot and he occasionally co-sleeps with you at home- Talk about being squashed & having backache!) Thank’s Emily!

We love a hotel with a swimming pool! My children love swimming and we couldn’t wait to take them. When staying at the hotel there are no restrictions on times when you can all go for a swim! So you can get your speedos on for whenever it suits you. We walked down in our robes and after swimming put our robes back on and then went and showered in our room got dressed and then unfortunately had to checkout!

After checking out after our ‘perfect’ stay we were going to head over to Temple Newsam but the boy’s were shattered after swimming so we decided to head straight back home!
