We visited Manor Heath Park & the Jungle Experience in Halifax for the 1st time this weekend and have to say we were pleasantly surprised! If your looking for somewhere to have a nice stroll, play and wander then this place is ideal!

Tip: Take a picnic, who doesn’t love a picnic in the park!

The park itself is a Yorkshire In Bloom Gold Award Winning Park! It is open all year round and even has its own water park and sand area which is open (April-October) I must admit this looked fantastic for a warm summer’s day I can’t wait to return with the boys in their swimming stuff!

The children’s play area was fasntastic! It was looked after, spaced out and suitable for smaller and older children. There were several slides (One separate HUGE slide) climbing frames, swing and plenty of interactive bits and bobs around! My boys loved it! You can visit the park for FREE without doing the Jungle Experience if required!

After 45 mins of running around the playground we decided to see what the Jungle Experience was about as we didn’t plan our visit we didn’t know what to expect. We paid our £2 entry fee and all went inside it was very Tropically inside, so we had to take our coats off!
Upon entering there were several plants and butterflies flying around, there is a small pathway to follow which is easy with the Pram however on busy days I can imagine too many prams being hard work as there is one path that leads you in and out. However if you would prefer there is a small Pram park to leave any buggys.

The Jungle Experience was great for my boys (Aged 3 & 1) they loved looking around seeing what they could spot next. There were plenty fish 🐟 & turtles 🐢 to see!

The Jungle Experience is only very small but if your in Halifax it’s worth a visit if you don’t want to spend many pennies and have a nice outside adventure. The walled gardens are lovely and I must say there are plenty of opportunities to take some beautiful pictures of the children as the backgrounds are beautiful. If you can get them to co-operate and smile! Think I managed to get one!

If your child is a Peppa Pig fan then if you visit when it has rained there are some big puddles around, get your wellies on and have a splish splash in muddy puddles jumping all around!

Overall I would definitely recommend Manor Heath Park & Jungle Experience for a cheap but beautiful outdoor adventure!

Thanks for reading 😁
